Headquarters
The headquarters of the Istitût Ladin Furlan are in Coder di Sedean/Coderno di Sedegliano (Ud) at the "Casa Turoldo", birthplace of the well-known author and poet Father David Maria Turoldo (1916-1992). Patterned after typical 18th century Friulian farmhouses, the house was built at the end of the 19th century and restored in 1997 by the City of Sedean/ Sedagliano and the Region of Friuli-V.G. thanks to funding from the European Union.
Originally, the house consisted of a kitchen on the ground floor, two bedrooms on the second floor and a large attic on the top floor. Donated to the city by its last owner, it has survived to this day nearly intact. The kitchen and Turoldo's bedroom have been conserved from the original structure, while the rest of the building is used for cultural activities.
